The Reverend Steve Arterbur is preaching to the converted as he addresses a West Palm Beach audience of pro-lifers on the 25th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Although he attended a Christian university, Arterbur didn't live like a Christian and ended up paying for his girlfriend's abortion; a quick-fix, irreversible decision that still haunts him. Since then he has experienced God's forgiveness and found joy through a new partner and the adoption of an infant girl. He acknowledges the difficulty of a pro-life agenda, which he calls politically disastrous, but he sees a reduction in the number of clinics and their personnel--a fact he attributes to the work of those in the audience. Appended to this testimonial is a "bonus extra" of a sermon Arterbur delivered at the First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach on Sanctity of Life Sunday and testimony from a woman whose life was changed with the help of the church's pro-life ministry. Steve Arterbur is a genuinely moving speaker, whose message of God's love and personal encouragement goes beyond politics. His presentation will inspire and encourage those who espouse the pro-life movement and can accept an implied approval of the activist Operation Rescue group. Recommended. Aud: P. (J. Reed)
