Aimed at entry-level workers, this program provides basic advice on how to "survive on your job," emphasizing the importance of a positive attitude, and breaking down the skills required to succeed into three areas: self-management (adaptive) skills, transferable skills, and job related skills. In addition, the program underscores the importance of getting along with a supervisor (follow instructions, ask good questions, and report problems and results of work) and outlines rules for handling disagreements. While all of the advice offered here is sound, the sections on working with supervisors and handling conflict might have benefited from scenarios illustrating the results of following or not following guidelines. The other titles in the series (series price: $329) are: Start Your Job and Succeed in Your Job. Recommended. Aud: H, P. (S. Fisher)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
