Host Tom Nordland, inventor of the “Swish” method, draws upon years of basketball experience, analyzing each different type of shot and the movements required for consistent success in this hour-shy instructional video. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first but after seeing players from grade school to college-age make one three-pointer after another (in a single take), the proof was in the swishing. Nordland's philosophy is based upon centering the strong upward motion (required for shots) in the legs, which are more stable than the upper body, and creating a consistent release, and he demonstrates his techniques along with student players in both practice and competitive settings. A fine title sure to be appreciated by b-ball enthusiasts, Swish--which features a bonus section with six additional minutes of shooting clips--is recommended. Aud: J, H, C, P. (L. Stevens)
