Mix a little Tai Chi with a little SoCal too-much-sun-on-the-fontanel workshop philosophy and voila! you've got Tantra Tai Chi, in which you and your partner don't actually connect lingam and yoni, but rather stand opposite one another, raising and lowering your hands while chanting: "Sex. Heart. Bindi." Developed by Diana and Richard Daffner, the Tantra Tai Chi system is meant to be a kind of spiritual foreplay, if you will, opening up the chakras to let the chi flow during--presumably--tantric sex (which, if you will recall from your sexual mentors on the playground during 6th grade recess, is an Eastern form of sexual intercourse in which couples sit entwined in the lotus position and gaze into one another's eyes without moving). The Daffner's, who stumble through such locutions as "that centered central feeling" and "steps into his full maleness" (which is, I must admit, better than "onto"), demonstrate a few poses and moves, along with the aforementioned tripartite chant, and share their thoughts with workshop participants. Unfortunately, the bare bones production values--including some shaky camerawork and audio dropouts--work against the already fuzzy content, making this a less than optimum purchase. Not recommended.
