Bev Dillon, the instructress for Knitting From Start to Finish*ing is back with a new program designed to teach the popular craft of tatting. She begins with a basic overview of the necessary materials, and shows viewers examples of socks, Christmas ornaments, and even cards with tatted trims. After covering the traditional method of tatting, Dillon demonstrates the modern method, as she creates a daisy chain tatting on a child's sock, tatted chains with connecting rings for a wedding dress, a lovely star-shaped decoration, and even a bookmark, among many other examples. This comprehensive introduction concludes with some general hints on taking care of tatted items. Fine close-ups, and Dillon's pleasant style, make this a good choice for public libraries with large crafts collections. Recommended.
