The Barefoot Bushman, eh? I watched the first volume, "Kissing Crocodiles" and I don't think I would ever kiss something whose brain was smaller than his teeth. Well, okay. Once. It was late. It was dark. It was beer. But I wouldn't do it twice. Rob Bredl does it in broad daylight, stone cold sober, repeatedly. Bredl (and yes, he's barefoot) owns a wild animal park in northern Australia. This Evel Knievel of the animal world kisses these huge amphibious reptiles regularly while showing off to tourists. Of course, the affection hasn't always been reciprocated: Bredl's had 24 "love bites" on various parts of his anatomy, but he's "still got all me fingers and toes!" (In his business, that's the sign of an expert.) Good camerawork, loads of interesting facts (crocodiles live 90 years, and a large one can go two years without food!), an extremely knowledgeable host, and fun (read: insane) "stunts" make this a fine addition for most library collections. The other tapes in the boxed set are Playing With Snakes & Lizards and Dancing With Dingoes. Recommended. Aud: I, J, P. (N. Plympton)
