A must-see for parents, this outstanding program graphically demonstrates the ruinous ways in which we unconsciously influence our children. Narrated by actress Jane Seymour, the real, if reluctant, "stars" of the film are the families caught up in--at times painful to watch--filial struggles. Divided into four vignette situations, the program focuses on an absentee father dealing with an angry son influenced by his mother's addictions; a mother who's taught her daughter destructive behavior; a son who, like his father, enjoys driving fast--and very nearly ends up killing himself and others; and a mother-daughter relationship that creates turmoil for everyone in the household because of ambivalent attitudes toward men. Vividly instructive of how our actions affect others, the program also demonstrates how counseling and patient parenting can begin to set family matters on the right course. Highly recommended.
