With hospital stays becoming shorter, and people living longer, home health care skills are becoming more and more important. This video is a worthy addition to a caregiver's training arsenal: it does exactly what its title says it will. Stressing the principles of body mechanics and safety--for both caregiver and patient--the participants show us how to move people from bed to chair, chair to bathtub, car seat to chair, lounge chair to wheelchair, and back again. Also discussed are back protection, gait belt use, empty wheelchair loading, ramp and curb maneuvering, and constipation and ulcer prevention. With its sensible and truly helpful advice, this video is an ideal addition to a library collection; its "borrowability" would help ease the many other expenses associated with home health care. An excellent sequel to the first Home Care Companion (VL-7/96), this is highly recommended. Aud: H, C, P. (K. Glaser)
