Sporting great music and fun moves, Afro-Brazilian Cardio is a unique workout featuring three jazzy dance segments led by instructor Beth Lane, who knows how to swing her hips and swizzle her feet, but can't seem to properly explain how to do it. Each of the 15 minute segments includes a nice warm-up, irresistible rhythmic drums, and unusual dance steps, but Lane's poor cueing (the dancers behind her misstep more than once) makes it hard for the first time viewer to get much out of the workouts. In addition, the program is missing the required pulse checks, alternative moves for different fitness levels, and a cool-down. While I liked the choreography (everyone looked like they were having fun), the lack of precision in instruction is this exercise maven's turn-off. Not recommended. Aud: P. (E. Druda)
