OB/GYN approved, Terry "TJ" Brown's stretching/weight training program is designed for pregnant and post-pregnant women. Viewers are advised to use light dumbbells, a chest expander, a squeezable rubber ball, and a bench. Roz, a woman who is 7-months pregnant, working with Brown, demonstrates each of the exercises presented in the program. The tape kicks off with some warmup stretches for the neck and shoulders, and then begins with knee raises for strengthening the abdominals, followed by weight and/or stretching exercises for the legs, upper back, chest, shoulders, arms, and general flexibility. During the exercises, Brown tells viewers exactly what's happening during each exercise and what the specific benefits are (a feature strangely omitted on many exercise videos). In an interview session which appears near the end of the program, Brown talks about the benefits of the program-primarily easier delivery and quicker recuperation after delivery. A brief "review" at the end of the program (which is pointless), as well as major hawking of Brown's "Lifestyle Enhancement Program" on 6 audiocassettes, are both annoying. Still, the exercise section does offer a carefully chosen and explained regimen of beneficial exercises that will aid pregnant and post pregnant mothers, and there is "no bouncing, jumping, or hopping," as promised in the title. Recommended. (Available from: Ti's Body Consultants, 1809 Nottingham Drive, Winter Park, FL 32792.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
