Time Management: Get the Most out of Your Time
Full of conventional time management techniques that are geared to helping business people make the most of their time, this somewhat unevenly produced and acted program can still be of help to employees (inexperienced and experienced alike) who are under "time" stress on the job. The video outlines the ABC system of prioritization (A=Highest importance, B=Important, etc.), provides methods of dealing with procrastination, teaches time "blocking," advises the planning and shortening of phone calls, emphasizes the importance of occasionally saying "no," outlines techniques of organizing effective meetings, and demonstrates how to use quiet time during travel. The only time management technique it doesn't cover is the hardest one of all to master--remembering to use such a system on a daily basis and making it an integral part of work life. Recommended, overall. [Note: the manual can be safely tossed, and the audiocassette is simply an audio version of the video program and can therefore be cataloged as a separate stand-alone item.] Aud: C, P. (S. Fisher)
