How many bones do you have in your body? Viewers will learn the answer (OK, 206) while singing along with B.B. Bonz, the hilarious skeletal host of this in-depth hospital tour. Starting with a trip to the hospital in an ambulance, the kids who narrate the program see a real heart beating via ultrasound, ride a stretcher to ER, watch how stitches are sewn (on a doll, so even the most squeamish don't mind), take care of babies in the obstetrics ward, and much more. Although the video runs a bit long, it's easy to break into thematic segments for classroom use, and offers good advice on nutrition and responding to emergencies, as well as promoting appreciation of our amazing bodies. Snappy edits, clever animation, and winsome hosts all combine into a delightful program that demystifies health care and makes learning about it fun. Recommended. Aud: E, I, P. (E. Gieschen)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
