"Video presentations" can define a company to its employees or introduce services to potential customers. Without knowledge of professional video production techniques, however, these presentations could easily become as deadly as poorly done home movies. Video has been used as a teaching tool for more than two decades now, but many people still have trouble transferring their ideas to film. This program shows trainers and educators how to use their budgets, equipment, and resources to the fullest advantage. Divided into three segments--pre-production (budgeting, scripting, and evaluating available equipment), production (shooting schedules, location vs. in-house, lighting and sound, etc.), and post-production (editing, adding music and sound effects, titling)--each section is thoroughly explained without becoming tedious and the overall effect is highly professional. Anyone assigned the task of producing a business or education video would do well to heed the advice offered in this informative program. Recommended. Aud: C, P. (J. Carlson)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
