Geared to a young adult and teen audience, the Canadian production Volunteers for Life outlines the benefits of volunteerism in communities, which include honing social skills, exploring various occupations, and gaining life experience. Combining interviews with young people and visits to organizations that rely on volunteers, the program also provides some excellent leads for students to find volunteer opportunities, and helps them to recognize skills and talents they possess that might be useful to others. A terrific inspirational video for high school-aged kids, this is recommended. Aud: J, H, P. (L. Stevens)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
