According to "author, lecturer and guide to sacred sites" Gregg Braden, we are at a "pivotal time in human history bridging all that has ever been with all that is yet to be." Using such props as the Tibetan Book of the Dead, DNA charts, periodic tables and the Book of Mormon to bolster his case, he seeks to remedy universal fears and insecurities, offering insights such as "your sacred circuit--earth-heart-brain-cell--should be in harmony. Fear interferes with earth-heart-brain-cell resonance." Using the "7 Essene Mirrors" to deliver some basic principles, his New Age jargon-ridden advice boils down to some tried and true admonitions, roughly translating to "develop your mental and spiritual natures," "acknowledge the hurt and move on" and "trust your gut, not logic." Braden is a polished and compelling speaker; this skill, along with a dramatic, quasi-spiritual stage setting, boosts this a cut above similar workshop programs. Still, this would be most appropriate for those who are already familiar with Braden's books. Purchase where there is heavy demand for New Age topics or the collection has titles by Gregg Braden. Otherwise, optional. Aud: P. (J. Reed)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
