We don't want to sound provincial, but Washington State's Cascade Loop is a darn good travel tape. Beginning with the Boeing Plant in Everett, the tour hits Snohomish, with its 90 antique stores; Leavenworth, which has been redone in the manner of a German village; stops for a bite in Wenatchee--the Apple Capital of the World (where an intriguing apple catapult, circa 1923, "scientifically" weighed apples, and shot them into the right sacks), a ramble through the old west town of Winthrop; a look at the massive hydroelectric plant in the Skagit Valley; a quick stop in the San Juan Islands; and a visit to the world's largest loganberry farm. Fast- paced, filled with excellent historical detail, and visually arresting, Washington State's Cascade Loop is what a travel tape should be. (Following the 'tour', accommodations are briefly shown). Recommended. (Available from: Video Presentations Inc., Sixth & battery Bldg, 2326 Sixth Ave., Suite 230, Seattle, WA 98121).
