In the early 1960's, Richard Wolters published a series of books considered by many to be some of the finest ever written on training dogs. The producers of this video (and of the others in the series) have taken the main points from the book of the same title, added some up-to-date material, and come up with a solid, well-done guide to training dogs for retrieving waterfowl. Quick paced, yet clearly and concisely presenting every step of training, this program avoids technical jargon and is aimed at the average dog owner who wishes to train Rover to fetch game birds and other water fowl. Dog owners who have no intention of blasting ducks out of the sky will still find the basic commands ("Sit," "Heel," "Come," etc.) well defined and easy to follow. This video will be a definite asset in any public library, especially those serving hunters. Highly recommended. Aud: P. (J. Carlson)
