Yes, gals, just when you thought you'd be spending your middle-aged and golden years blissfully free of your mate's male-hormone-induced nonsense, science comes to his rescue by offering testosterone patches or injections to alleviate his symptoms. In this informative yet light-hearted tape, we learn that male menopause results from a slow decrease in testosterone levels that actually begins in a man's early 20s. Symptoms may include a lessening of muscle mass and bone accumulation, loss of emotional well-being, depression and general feelings of incompetence, and--you knew this was next--decrease in sex drive. The benefits and risks of hormone replacement therapy are explained, and several men are candidly interviewed about their concerns and experiences with the aging process. Interspersed are humorous "man on the street" snippets with regular guys, some of whom think that menopause is a "pain in the ass that happens once a month." Despite its cost, this video is highly recommended, especially now that we're being told that regular sex can be very beneficial to men--not that they actually need another excuse to keep the home fires burning, mind!
