Anger has many faces, and four of the most common-passive-aggressive, repressive, internalized, and aggressive-are examined in this top-notch program. Four ongoing dramatic vignettes are used to examine the causes of anger, the effects of anger, and the possible solutions. A woman who won't argue with her husband, overeats instead; a young man loses his girlfriends because of his drug problem and blinding jealousy; a single parent, resentful of being abandoned, turns her anger on her co-workers, her son, and eventually herself; and a husband and father, after repeatedly yelling at and striking his family, is given an ultimatum: seek professional help, and the family will move back into the house. Throughout, an on-camera narrator offers commentary on the vignettes as well as examining coping strategies for dealing with anger. The information is useful, the situations are very realistic, and the price is out of this universe. Most appropriate for the medical and social support community, Wiry Are You So Angry? is, nevertheless, also highly recommended for those public libraries who are willing to spend that much money.
