Winning Baseball Strategies

In this standalone follow-up to The 59-Minute Baseball Practice (VL-7/99), Coach Marty Schupak scores another homer on the playing field of excellent baseball instructional tapes aimed at players 10-12 years old. More than many coaches, Mr. Schupak recognizes that instruction needs to be mixed with fun in order to instill a love for the game. Winning Baseball Strategies is divided into sections--such as “Backing Up and Defense,” “Cut Offs,” “Advanced Skill Strategy,” etc.--concentrating on specific skills that are thoroughly explained and clearly demonstrated by players. Also included are recommended fun exercises, such as “Home Run Derby” in which players hit balls with tennis rackets, and “10 Bonus Coaching Tips,” one of which is the ever valuable advice to "always under-coach rather than over-coach." Marty Schupak should clone himself and coach all the way across America to remind both coaches and players what our national pastime is all about--the simple joy and pleasure of playing the game.
