There's just no way around it--the legal system is a quagmire of details, jargon, and improbable resolutions that surface after patience-breaking oodles of time. Trying to make your own way through the quicksand is tough, but not impossible, according to attorney George P. Palmer. Beginning with a brief description of small claims court, Palmer explains in endless legalese about how to start a suit, prepare your case, handle the hearing, collect your money, respond to lawsuits, and the alternatives to taking your case to small claims court. The information presented seems thorough, but would have been more effective if the producers took greater advantage of the wonderful medium of video; complicated ideas need visual reinforcement, like charts, bulleted lists, or other graphics--not just a talking head. Viewers here are more likely to hit the fast forward button and call a lawyer. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: P. (E. Druda)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
