In this straightforward instructional video, author/designer/columnist/TV host Kathy Peterson shows viewers how they can coil and crimp different gauges of wire to embellish their paper, leather, cardboard and clay projects, as well as use a rubber stamp to create interesting effects on items ranging from jewelry and an adorable little purse to lanterns and CD cases. Overall, the presentation is clear enough for absolute beginners to turn out some acceptable projects; my only quibble is that the program occasionally veered toward an infomercial when pushing particular wire-working tools available from the instructor's website. Recommended, with reservations, for larger crafts collections. Aud: P. (J. Asala)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
