The unimaginable heartbreak of losing a new baby is addressed here through discussion with seven parents who have experienced this terrible loss, as well as counselors trained to work with grieving parents and a sister from a Catholic hospital. Grappling with a wide variety of issues, including blame and anger, the need for contact with the baby before burial, loss of faith, living with grief, memorializing the infant, and the need for nurture and support, the interviewees' comments are sincere, heartfelt, and, while often heartrending, ultimately hopeful. A good resource for couples and/or single parents who may not have access to support or counseling and are suffering alone, this is recommended. Aud: P. (E. Druda)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
