Wood Flooring: Important Facts That Will Save You Money And Insure Quality

The cover of this video proudly proclaims "Not a Boring How-To Video ...but Informative and Interesting." The validity of that statement depends on whether or not watching commercials makes for the highlight of your day. For us, it's not. There are some good tips here: on the advantages of wood flooring; the differences in time, effort and cost between unfinished wood and prefinished wood; hiring a competent contractor; and sanding, finishes, and maintenance of a completed floor. But viewers are referred to "The Wood Flooring Product Catalogue" (which, incidentally, costs $79.95 plus p & h) about fifty times during the course of the program (which concludes with all 24 mills and 37 manufacturers being shown). The catalog contains the product lines of the abovementioned mills and manufacturers. This is, for the most part, a well-made tape (although the repeated zooms onto the nameplate of the "Clarke" sander wear thin).
