Part of a projected series of tapes entitled "Time For Me", Working Moms is a supportive and common sense approach to problems encountered by mothers in two-career families and single working mothers. Hosted by June Lindsay, the program is divided into six segments: 1) your self, 2) your man, 3) your children, 4) your work, 5) your home, and 6) all together now (a summary). Interviews with three working moms--a single mother, a second-marriage mother, and a newlywed mother--are intercut with comments from Marjorie Shaevitz (author of "The Superwoman Syndrome") and her psychologist-husband, Morton. The Shaevitz's advice is almost always clear-cut and to the point (i.e., "never say 'yes' automatically", "dump the 'trash' events and people in your life", "carve out time for loved ones", etc.). Each segment is introduced by a comic vignette with comedian Susan Vass. All in all, this is an entertaining, informative look at a widespread social situation, which should be popular with library patrons. Recommended.
