Arguing--correctly--that more and more of us are spending time in front of our computers, Dr. Mike O'Neill, a certified professional ergonomist, and his assistant, demonstrate 33 easy exercises designed to help ease tension, strengthen muscles, and avoid repetitive strain injuries. One third of the exercises are devoted to the hands and fingers alone (raising an obvious question: are these exercises effective in and of themselves, or simply because in doing them you won't have time to actually work?), while the remaining 22 focus on the neck, face and eyes, upper and lower back, and legs. The program concludes with 13 rather self-evident ("move around") tips for more comfortable computing. A solid guide to computer workstation specific exercises, this is recommended, especially for those who don't already own the similar ErgErcize (VL-3/99). Aud: H, C, P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
