Dr. Baxter Bell guides this step-by-step yoga instructional title—presented by Yoga Journal—which consists of two half-hour classes on “Stress Prevention” and “Stress Relieving.” In his introduction, Bell emphasizes both the importance of concentration while practicing yoga and the benefits of effectively managing stress in our pressure-cooker culture. Using props including blocks and blankets, Bell and a pair of assistants (who demonstrate beginner and advanced poses) present two routines that include a variety of pretzel-worthy moves, including both standards such as sun salutes, tree pose, warrior pose, and mountain pose, and more creatively named moves such as the “Half King of the Fishes” pose. In addition, the program features “Pranayama Breathing,” “Guided Relaxation” (lying down), and “Guided Meditation” (sitting up) techniques, and a “timer” feature that allows viewers to practice at their preferred pace. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
