Separated into 12 segments, this video guide to the inside of your mouth is the first in a projected series of tapes on dental health. Created by professional dentists and orthodontists, the concept behind the program is to help explain some of the mysteries of dentistry to the average person. Topics covered include: X-rays, brushing and flossing, fluoride treatments, orthodontics, dentistry for children, emergency care, specialties within the field of dentistry (endodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons, etc.), prenatal care, snacking and nutrition, dental labs, and geriatric care. The video combines narration by dental professionals with illustrations and photographs to visually explain the concepts and conditions discussed on the video. Viewers will indeed learn the proper ways to brush and floss, as well as what foods are kind on teeth and what foods aren't, but they'll also learn about some of the latest trends and movements in dentistry.
