Bottle Fairy: Spring and Summer

Four diminutive fairies curious about what it means to be human are adopted by caring high school student Sensei-san and his rambunctious elementary school neighbor Tama-chan. Kururu, Sarara, Chiriri, and Hororo are adept at drawing conclusions that, while not quite correct, are always charming and chuckle-inspiring. Why they've come, why they're so small, how their magic works, or why Sensei-san's parents never appear to notice his wee guests doesn't matter one whit. Instead, the series is entirely about the “bottle fairies” and their impressions and misconceptions about the greater world as the four puzzle through school, love, marriage, and just what it means to “enjoy summer in your bathing suit.” The animation is colorful and perfect for the mood of the show—which is bright, magical, and full of quick humor—making this dual-language disc, rated 7-up, a good choice for younger audiences.
