Celebrity Mole: Hawaii

Seven celebrities in desperate need of better agents congregate in the 50th state to endure sundry humiliations for all the world to see in this 2003 reality TV series. Actors Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects), Corbin Bernsen (L.A. Law), Michael Boatman (Spin City), Kim Coles (In Living Color), Kathy Griffin (Suddenly Susan), and Erik von Detten (The Princess Diaries), plus a bona fide Victoria's Secret lingerie model, Frederique Van der Wal, can be seen here suspended from ropes, wrangling sheep, and playing a commando version of hide and seek, all trying to raise money for a winner's pot. The gimmick: one of these people is an unidentified "mole," clandestinely sabotaging the others. Over six weeks, players not maintaining the game's high standards get the boot, until a few distrustful survivors have to sort out who the spy is among them. Hosted by Ahmad Rashad, this Survivor-lite series has zero socially redeeming qualities; worse, it's not funny. DVD extras on this three-disc set include deleted scenes, outtakes, and extended yammering by the hack participants. Not recommended. (T. Keogh)
