Like Sabrina, the very bad girl played so lusciously by Jamie Luner, the R-rating on this film here is a bit of a tease. Yes, there's some sex, but no nudity, and the f-word is only spoken once. For the most part, this made for cable remake of 1957's Sorority Girl (produced in 1993 for Showtime's series of retooled '50s teensploitation films) is grade-A, trashy B-movie fun. Sabrina is the new girl on campus, and as her roommate, good girl Rita (Alyssa Milano) observes, Sabrina has no limits. She blackmails professors, seduces Rita's boyfriend and spreads malicious gossip. To paraphrase Mae West: when she's good, she's very good, but when she's bad, she's terrific. It's all played absolutely straight, which adds to the lowdown fun. As guilty pleasures go, this one's recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
