Unfortunately, Critter Gitters is best described with a four-letter word--lame. Lame production values. Lame plotting. Lame writing. And some really, really lame acting. Aimed at younger viewers, the premise offers a group of young neighborhood friends joining forces with veterinarians and a "wacky" professor to become "a search and rescue unit, a detective agency and a courageous animal recovery squad for animals of every size, shape and species." The intentions of this series, which airs on TV, are good--to teach kids to be respectful and responsible for themselves and their pets--but the acting is…did I mention lame? Not recommended. Aud: P. (S. Fisher)
