Entourage: The Complete Seventh Season

The seventh season of HBO's insider comic drama about the roller-coaster life and wild times of fun-loving Hollywood movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and friends begins with Vince back at the top of his game (and popularity), before following him down a spiral of self-destructive behavior. Vince's adrenaline-chasing bender lifestyle—involving reckless stunts, drugs, alcohol, wild parties, and a very public romance with a famous porn star (Sasha Grey, playing herself with gusto)—takes its toll on his reputation, career, and friendships. Meanwhile, best friend and manager Eric (Kevin Connolly) tries to win back ex-girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui); half-brother Johnny (Kevin Dillon) searches for a new TV project; and easygoing Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) tries his hand promoting a tequila company. Jeremy Piven once again steals the show as the endlessly entertaining super-agent Ari Gold, whose constant stream of politically incorrect rants and verbal harassment mark the public face of a devoted family man, albeit one whose career tends to take priority over his marriage. While Entourage lost its freshness and showbiz insider vibe long ago, its glimpse of the Hollywood high life has kept it a popular part of HBO's Sunday night lineup (although the series is just wrapping its eighth and final run).
