Imagine The Sixth Sense mixed with a detective series and transplanted into an S&M dungeon and you have this very, very weird anime offering. Misaki Saiki is a dominatrix with multiple talents: natch, she can have sadomasochistic men on their knees begging for more, but she can also communicate with ghosts. Neither talent brings her much in the way of personal satisfaction, but the ghosts are definitely the tougher clients (and the number of spirits is on the rise thanks to excessive real estate construction that is upsetting the final resting places for the once-peacefully deceased). Misaki has an agent who hooks her up to ghostly contacts with the aim of solving their beyond-the-grave mysteries and angst. Her S&M clients, by comparison, are rather sedate—the usual pay-for-play business, which Misaki indulges with barely-concealed boredom. If that's not enough irons in the plot-fire, she's also being pursued by a high school stalker (in another storyline that seems out of place here). Compiling all four episodes of the OVA on one dual-language disc, rated 16-up, this anime is clearly aimed at mature audiences, who might find some amusement in its leather and ectoplasmic shenanigans.
