Gravion Zwei 1: Eye of the Storm, Vol. 1

The Earth has to be protected by someone, so why not the mysterious Sandman and his gaggle of hotel maids, right? In this sporadically funny anime, a sequel to the popular action series Gravion, those cute housecleaners are secret agents who operate futuristic mecha in the service of the Sandman, who in turn wards off invading Zeravire robots. Although four episodes are included in the opening volume of the set, our preview disc only contained the first two, and based on that, Gravion Zwei looks to be a nicely-animated action series with a Power Rangers kind of vibe, but far more fan service (i.e., jiggly-bosomed heroines with short skirts and peekaboo underwear) than anything else, making this dual-language disc--accurately rated 15-up--an optional purchase at best.
