NASCAR: Driven to Win

This two-disc set includes all 13 first season episodes of this supercharged series (which originally aired on A&E's Biography) profiling some of the hottest young drivers on the NASCAR circuit, including Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, and Brian Vickers, among others. Combining interviews with the racers (with comments from friends, family members, and mentors) together with behind-the-scenes glimpses of their personal and professional lives as participants in this lightning-paced, adrenaline-fueled sport, Driven to Win effectively conveys the hopes and fears of the racers as they do whatever it takes to be the first to cross that finish line. Individual episodes vary somewhat in quality, although even the best of them will probably have a familiar ring since NASCAR has been covered extensively in both film and on other TV series.
