Providing a fresh perspective on Jesus by focusing on people with whom he interacted in familiar biblical passages, People Who Met Jesus consists of eight vignettes, effectively rendered by well-done silent acting in tasteful location settings, opening and closing with brief commentary by a narrator. Featured here are Simon Peter, the brash fisherman; Matthew, the despised tax collector; the centurion who acknowledged Jesus' authority; the woman at the well who learned that Jesus was the "living water"; the miracles surrounding the nobleman's servant and Jairus' daughter; the rich man and the true meaning of wealth; and Nicodemus, who joined in giving Jesus a proper burial. While the insights offered are fairly basic, these episodes would nevertheless make a satisfying starting point for discussion and certainly would be useful for Sunday school study groups.
