Show Me Yours: The Complete Series

Show Me Yours revolves around Dr. Kate Langford (Rachael Crawford), an Ontario-based therapist working on a book about eroticism, who lives with dull but devoted fellow author David (Jeff Seymour). At her best friend Jodi's (Jennie Raymond) wedding, Kate meets Dr. Benjamin Chase (Adam Harrington), a flirtatious biologist who's just returned from an assignment documenting the mating rituals of monkeys in Africa. When her publisher, Toni (Alberta Watson), decides the pair should collaborate, Kate overcomes her initial reluctance and agrees to join forces with Ben in writing and conducting interviews (in a surrealistic touch, every time someone describes a sexual experience, it comes to life—in a basic-cable-TV kind of way). While David travels the world to work on the documentary version of his latest tome, Ben has a fling with Toni, and Kate begins to have doubts about her domestic situation. Other series regulars include Jodi's younger sister, Stella (Rachel Wilson), who's also Kate's sexually insatiable office assistant. Neither as explicit as HBO's Tell Me You Love Me or as fast-paced as Sex and the City, Show Me Yours appears to be courting a similar audience, but with a Canadian twist (piles of snow, references to filmmaker David Cronenberg, and so on), while Crawford is a charming presence throughout.
