The distinguished James Earl Jones stars in this Emmy award-winning TV movie as a man troubled by a childhood racial trauma who moves back to his hometown. While a new friendship with a young white boy initially offers some hope for reparation, the relationship ends up complicating matters in the lakeside community holding a guilty secret it wants to keep buried. Actress Helen Shaver does a decent job directing this formulaic but well-acted "feel-good" drama, geared for family viewing. The sparse extras include an interactive puzzle, scene access, and filmographies. A strong optional purchase. (T. Rich)
