Teen Wolf: Season 5, Part 2

This second half of episodes from the 2015-16 fifth season of the popular MTV teen horror series concludes the epic struggle against the Dread Doctors, serving up a dark story about mysterious scientists conducting Frankenstein-like experiments on high school students with a mix of science and the supernatural. Scott (Tyler Posey), the alpha wolf of a team of super-powered and human friends, finds that his companions are splitting apart over conflicts and secrets, including a fight with Scott's best friend Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), who psychologically struggles after he kills in self-defense. This only makes the group more vulnerable as a rival shapeshifter puts together his own squad of enhanced teenagers comprised of cast-off experiments of the Dread Doctors. A central mystery here revolves around the Beast of Gévaudan—a legendary creature blamed for over 100 violent deaths in 18th-century France—that Scott and company must ultimately face. The show continues to serve up teen melodrama with supernatural complications in a self-aware and stylish production built around attractive adolescents, but it has also gotten darker over time, and here the ominous Eichen House—a hospital with all the charm of a gothic insane asylum turned chamber of horrors—takes on an even more brutal aspect.
