A Canadian-produced video magazine showcasing eco-friendly and environmentally conscious projects around the world, Think Green finds plenty of room for creative innovation to make things greener in the areas of living spaces, transportation, products, and lifestyle. Profiling both individuals and companies (and often highlighting nonprofit public projects), each volume consists of six to eight stories, representing a wide variety of countries and cultures. This first volume looks at a Uruguayan inventor's prototype for a compressed air engine for bicycles, a team of UK architects developing homes in a nature preserve, and a sustainable village being built in rural China, among other subjects. Unfortunately, the production suffers from somewhat choppy editing and a subpar audio mix. Also, because most of the projects shown tend towards the conceptual or experimental, viewers hoping for readily available and practical suggestions will be disappointed. Still, as a discussion starter about global eco-awareness in action, this is a strong optional purchase. Aud: J, H, P. (E. Gieschen)
