Considering the dream team ensemble, Up All Night is a disappointment. Christina Applegate and Will Arnett boast good chemistry as Reagan and Chris Brinkley, a former hard-partying, fast lane couple whose lives are upended when they have a baby. In fact, scenes devoted to their struggles to juggle professional and personal lives ring funny and true. It's the workplace comedy that sinks the show. The usually indispensable Maya Rudolph stars as Ava, a daytime talk show diva (any resemblance to Oprah is not a coincidence) for whom Reagan serves as harried producer. Ava, as well as a cowed assistant (a thankless role for Jennifer Hall) are over the top—characters that are tonally at odds with the intimately observed comedy of the domestic scenes as the new parents try to find their footing. Compiling all 24 episodes from the 2011-12 debut season, extras include deleted and extended scenes, and a music video. Optional. (D. Liebenson)
