This final truncated season of the lighthearted Syfy-aired original about a covert team of government agents who capture magical artifacts opens with a battle, as the villainous Paracelsus (Anthony Head) tries to take over the Warehouse (where supernatural objects are stored) for his own nefarious purposes, and ends with the passing of the torch to the next generation of Warehouse operatives. In between is the usual mix of fantastic situations, colorful personalities, and oddball history, as well as comic flirtatious attitude from Pete and Myka (Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly), plus junior associate Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) saving her sister. Guest stars and recurring characters make farewell appearances, while the finale of this tongue-in-cheek, lightweight series offers a curious twist on the classic clip show: here, each flashback is a new sequence, including an elaborate musical number that gives Scagliotti a tap-dancing solo. Compiling all six episodes from the 2014 fifth season, extras include a third season Christmas episode with Pete in an It's a Wonderful Life-like mystery, deleted and extended scenes, interviews, podcasts, and a gag reel. A strong optional purchase. (S. Axmaker)
