Kagan Yurttas is a recent college graduate from Istanbul, Turkey, holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Loyola Marymount University. Yurttas will also start pursuing a master's degree in Cinema Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design in September 2021. In addition to film theory, film history, and philosophy of film, other research interests of Yurttas include the films of Michael Haneke, non-narrative documentaries (such as the films of Ron Fricke and Godfrey Reggio), contemporary American and Turkish cinema (1990-Present), and experimental cinema.
