Video Librarian welcomes article pitches and submissions that speak directly to our core audience of librarians and educators. We are especially interested in thoughtful, accessible pieces written by librarians, educators, film critics, and culture writers who understand how media is discovered, evaluated, and used in libraries, classrooms, and community spaces.
 

We publish longform essays, curated lists, and interviews that explore film, books, media literacy, education, and culture through a library-centered lens. Topics might include collection development trends, programming ideas, curriculum connections, emerging media formats, or broader cultural conversations relevant to librarians and educators.
 

Please note that we are not accepting review submissions. Film and book reviews are handled exclusively by our staff writers. Most contributed articles fall between 500 and 800 words, though we are flexible depending on the topic and format.
