What is Swank Digital Campus?
Swank Digital Campus, a division of Swank Motion Pictures, Inc., started working with higher education organizations in 2009. It is different from every other academic streaming provider because of the longstanding relationships with top studios, independent filmmakers, and international film companies of its parent. It is heir to the formidable legacy that Swank has been building for almost nine decades.
Swank Digital Campus provides colleges and universities with a streaming platform that includes 40,000 feature films, documentaries, foreign films, and television titles. They are available to stream on any laptop, tablet, or mobile device – and can be shown in class or assigned to students as part of the curriculum.
Swank Digital Campus is the only company that can provide you with a comprehensive selection of films from all of these top studios:
Licensing Models
Swank Digital Campus offers demand-driven acquisition (DDA) as well as library collection licensing models. These restrict content selection to faculty and library administrators to help maintain budget control. Students can access films that are already licensed by a school, but they cannot initiate new requests.
Demand-Driven Acquisition
- Library administrators and faculty can choose from 40,000+ titles but only pay for the films they need
- Traditional demand-driven allows films to be added upon request or libraries have the option to mediate faculty title requests to ensure complete budget control
- Demand Driven deposit account options to facilitate lower per-title rates
Collection Based Acquisition
Library-Curated Collection
- Know the films you need up front? Build a custom collection to align with your specific needs
Top 1,000 Collection+
- Swank’s most popular collection includes the most widely requested and used films by campuses across the country, all with closed captioning or English subtitles and at the lowest per title rate Swank has to offer.
- This collection also includes up to 10 additional films that can be added anytime throughout the year to ensure budget certainty and alignment with the ever-evolving needs of faculty
Flex Collection
- Start with a curated collection of films but maintain the ability to swap films in and out of the collection throughout the year to ensure budget control while meeting faculty needs
- The Flex Collection is meant to blend the budget certainty of collection-based acquisition and the flexibility of demand-driven models.
