Ada Twist, Scientist

Narrated by Bahni Turpin, this iconographic-animated adaptation of the 2016 picture book by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts focuses on an inquisitive young girl. Using a rhyming format and featuring watercolor and ink characters, Ada Twist introduces the titular pint-sized protagonist, who didn't speak until the age of three and then was off and running with questions about everything from climbing a grandfather clock to nose hairs. The centerpiece of this rather unfocused story is Ada's research into a gross mystery smell, sleuthing that inspires her 2nd grade classmates.
