Head, shoulders, knees, and toes…and arms, belly, fingers, and nose: this baby/toddler guide to the body features a multicultural cast of children and babies displaying various “parts.” Each vocabulary word is repeated, after which another child's elbow (or whatever) is shown, and so on. Unfortunately, there is no further discussion about the function of each body part (which could have been a useful introduction to the five senses). While this production features pleasant music and good visuals, it failed to interest my baby, though he continues to enjoy his board book on the same topic (I suspect that the reason is that the video is too repetitive--after one or two examples of “eyes,” he's ready to go on to the next “page”). DVD extras include two pointing games, appropriate for the pre-verbal audience. An optional choice for libraries in which baby educational videos circulate very well. Aud: K, P. (R. Reagan)
