Barbie: Star Light Adventure

An ancient prophesy and the threat of dark planets are at the center of this galactic entry in the popular computer-animated series starring the titular Mattel sweetheart. Living with her widowed father on a planet filled with various wacky creatures—including her own unidentified puffy pet Pupcorn—expert hoverboard aficionado Barbie is summoned to join a council created by a snooty king who wants to take credit for restoring the harmony of the stars. At the magnificent castle, Barbie meets fellow hoverboard queen Sal-Lee, cute boy pilot Prince Leo, and telepathically communicating twins Sheena and Kareena. Although the new team quickly begins to bond, the king is not impressed by spirited Barbie's constant attempts to step out of the box. An interstellar adventure with lots of sparkly colors and a number of energetic songs, this is sure to appeal to franchise fans. Extras include music videos, bloopers, and Barbie Dreamtopia shorts.
