Why shouldn't you talk with your mouth full? Why do people shake hands? How does sharing show you care? Barney and company explain it all to young viewers in this typically upbeat comedy of manners featuring vignettes demonstrating how to (and how not to) behave, coupled with a parade of songs reinforcing basic concepts of etiquette and considerate behavior, including taking turns, covering your mouth when you sneeze, and friendly greetings. The program ends with a party at the home of Miss Vera Goode, whose book on manners the kids have studied, and where the Barney gang are able to put what they've learned to good use. Let's be polite and say that this is one of the better Barney videos. Aud: K, P. (D. Liebenson)
